30 Day Photography Challenge-Day 10 Childhood Memory

Sadly I do not have many of my childhood photos with me. They are in storage, a long way away.
But this photo I found recently..... Brings back such memories. Emotions more than events.



Ask me about my aunty's wedding?
I don't remember a thing.
Ask me what I do remember?
My shoes.
I remember I loved those shoes.
They were my favourite.
I was saddened when they didn't fit anymore, I wanted to know why.
So was this the beginning of my love of shoes?
These cute little strappy white sandals?
.....
...
..
I think I need new shoes.

30 Day Photography Challenge-Day 9 Someone You Love

Someone I love?
Someone?
Impossible!
I love too many people to have just one...
But I have narrowed down the list, drastically.
First off, my darling husband.



Without him my life would be empty.
I thank God every day I was blessed with him.
He helped with the next loves.
Our beautiful children.





And of course, where would I be without my parents?
I love them more than words could ever say.

Cupcakes

In case you haven't noticed (which I highly doubt) I love to bake.
I love to decorate.
And cupcakes are the perfect mix of the two.
I got a new baking magazine which came with free silicone cupcake molds.
The first recipe was vanilla cupcakes.
So yesterday I pulled out my shiny new Kitchen Aid mixer.
(Which I am deeply in love with)
I followed the recipe but used vanilla bean paste instead of essence and added some pink colouring and strawberry flavouring to the icing.
And oh yum!!



Of course decorating them all the same would just be a bit blah blah boring!
So I played around with colours...



Sprinkles and nozzles...



Candy...



And fruit...



It was great sticky, sweet fun and today I'm back in the kitchen for more baking. At the supermarket yesterday they had punnets of raspberries for $1.99 and I couldn't say no!
I'm thinking maybe raspberry friands?

But for now here are some more delicious cupcakes which inspire me...

30 Day Photography Challenge-Day 8 A Bad Habit

Anyone who knows me knows I have bad habits.
My worst, you would think, is biting my fingernails.
Yes, they are bad.
But there is another, lesser known bad habit....



Never mind the cluttered desk.
I eat in front of the computer.
I eat in front of the tv.
I sit at the table to eat and I get bored.
So I read while I sit at the table and eat.
I can't help it, I have always been an "easily bored" person.
As a child my family would tease me because all I would say was "I'm bored!"
But not anymore, not with two small children!
What parent has time to be bored?
Not I!
