Let The Fun Begin!

See this cute little pendant?

I am giving it away!
Head on over to my Facebook page for details on how to win.
Hurry on over though, it ends tonight!

The Great De-Stash!

I've been quiet, I know, I'm sorry.
I've been busy cleaning, unpacking and sorting through a mountain of crafty stuff.
I discovered a lot of things.
Lost treasures...

What surprised me the most was the MASSIVE amount of resin jewellery I found.
Back from when I had just started my Etsy shop and was pumping out new creations every few days.

I threw away a lot.
This stuff has been in storage for a while, and some just didn't make it through.
But I was left with a lot...
So I have decided to have a little de-stash event on my Facebook page.
I would really love for you to share it with your friends. :)

I have sorted and separated the pendants and necklaces and there will be a number of gorgeous pieces up for auction, and I will be doing a RAOK (random act of kindness) for the rest.
Basically I will upload the photos in separate albums, one for the bidding, the RAOK is first to comment wins the piece. All I ask is that the winner of the RAOK pays postage, a mere $3 for Australia, and $6 for everywhere else.
There will be no starting point, you can put in a big for 10c if you like, I just want to send my goodies off to new homes, and not the garbage pile!

So keep an eye out, it will start very soon, I will make an announcement ahead of time on my Facebook page {<---- click here}

Good luck everyone, and happy bidding! :)

Nap Time Activities

Today my laptop died.
The battery I mean.
No big deal..... If my charger wasn't busted.
:(
The cable on the charger had been slowly falling apart but I had managed to fix it with tape, you just had to move slowly near it or it would click back to battery and frustrate the crap outta me!
Silly me must have left it and bumped as I went as when I returned the screen was blank, lights were off, nobody home.

Good thing we had found a replacement charger on ebay for $11 with free postage. Weeee!! Now I just have to wait 7-14 days for arrival. Hmmm!
So my usual nap time freedom is taken up by relaxing in bed, surfing the net on my trusty lappy, reading blogs, oogling at other crafty goodies and checking my emails.
Today I must say I was lost. I wandered around the house contemplating what to do...
I walked out to the letterbox and got the mail.
Hmm 5mins down....40 to go....

So I decided to just sit at my crafty desk space and fiddle with whatever I found.

I found a jumper I had begun to sew for Eve at my mum's place and had stopped after my attempt at stencilling in a hurry had bled through and made an awful mess.
So this is what I came up with to hide the hideous:

And yes, there will be matching elbow pads!

I just need to sew it all on and finish the neck and sleeve openings with ribbing.

Then I found some ribbons, fake flowers and super glue..... Mix that with some of my resin pieces and voila!

Of course just as I finish typing this the little girl has woken up......
:)

When The Internet Is Down...

Today our internet was down.
All day.
My husband called up our provider, but they were quite wishy washy and full of excuses, saying it should be working fine.
Well it was not.
I did not want to spend hours on hold waiting to try and clear things up so I decided to wait until the smart husband arrived home.

So while my baby girl slept, I sanded, wiped, sanded, scraped, glued and buffed and here is what I have:

(I did not murder the butterfly, my hubby accidently drove into it. found it on the ground after falling off the front of the car. Poor thing was too beautiful to leave there)

Plastic from inside an old keyboard. I love the way this turned out.

Some beautiful Japanese fabric I have.

The Queen of Hearts!

I found these cute navy blue bows and had to experiment....

Pesky bubble!

Cute fabric!

I'm pretty happy with them, I think the cute fabric ones are my favourite, though I'd never wear them, they are just not me. :)

Fresh Listings

Yay I have managed to list some more items in my Etsy today. Was very happy to see yesterday I had sold two of my pendants!
I have so many more to put up there, just getting there slowly!
Here are the newbies.....

Beautiful vintage fabric pendant.

Sugar overload pendant.

Kiss Me Sweet Valentine pendant.

And this is what I saw when checking on the little girl yesterday. She was so tired and so grumpy and fell asleep with her bum in the air! Too cute!

Just a bit more resin....No way!

I have had some mould issues.......They have been resinated, frozen, beaten. Put that on repeat a few times and I guess it was inevitable they would eventually break down.
The latest batch had the mould sticking to them, in lots of tiny pieces. So I spent a long time picking away at it with a pin, then getting impatient and scraping off with a sharp knife. It worked, but has left some very small scratches. Time for new moulds!

Hopefully today I will find some time to play with more.....
So what do you guys think? My favourite would have to be the "I love my geek".
Because I really do love my geek)

Fresh Out Of The Mold

Some new resin pieces I popped out today....

Played around with my new cross mould...

I have some more in the freezer waiting to be unstuck.... Will post soon!
So what do you think?
Do you think the top two would be better as fridge magnets or pendants?

Finally Some Freedom!

For the last few days I have been stuck in the house.
Sick. Cough cough.
Rain. Trying to mow lawn before landlord goes nuts on us.
Broken tap. Being given a time frame of "today or maybe tomorrow". Unable to leave because of wishy washy plumber. (Yeah I did say that and I know it is bad!)
Plumber finally came. So did bath time.
Did I mention it was the hot tap that was dribbling away for hours?
We turned the water off, but then was told to leave it on while the waiting game was being played.
The kettle was utilized.
The baby cried. Tired, grumpy, hungry.
The bath was filled, shallow.
At the end of the day I sighed as I made my way to a hot shower.
Oh yeah....It heats up overnight. No hot shower for me.

Today as my first day of freedom (though I am still sick I just HAD to get out) I went for a walk and took some photos on the way....

Then I did a bit of light reading....

I LOVE this book. It was the best Christmas gift ever.

I realized for the first time since school I am actually using the diary I bought....

Maybe because it has such pretty photos of things I yearn for...

Someday I will bring in a basket of fresh veges from my garden.

In the waiting I also finally glued magnets to my resin coated scrabble tiles I made so long ago. I was going to make them into a necklace but I love them on the fridge.

They fit in so well with my other resin magnets...

And after days of trying to figure out why my camera would not connect to my laptop I tried it with our big desktop....And amazingly it worked fine! The laptop is pretty stuffed and full of nasty things so the lovely husband is wiping it tonight. He is just waiting for me to get off the computer......

More stamps and a decision made...

We had an amazing sunset the other night...

The heavy clouds lit up as the sun slowly set after yet another wet day.
The puddles were like pools of pink fire on the ground.

After a pretty shocking morning (little girl has decided she is my alarm and it has been moved to 5am every morning for food and lots of play) I was happy to see my other stamps had arrived.
Yes, sad I know, when stamps are exciting, but I love getting nice mail of any kind.
I got some vintage car stamps & Australian wildlife.

Even the envelope they came in had some interesting stamps...

After finding my huge stash of resin I decided that now Eve is a bit older I will reopen my shop again. I have already made new things and want to just get all the old out!
I'll be giving things away here and in the shop with purchases so keep an eye out!
I took a whole bunch of new photos today using my gorgeous cupcake plate as background (I LOVE my plate!)
Here are some of the things I need to get rid of...

Now off to keep the little girl entertained. She has become so excited after learning how to stand up that she just wants to do it all the time and gets quite upset if I don't help her!
