Do You Ever...?

Do you ever find a really cool site that makes you think to yourself "Oh I just have to share this amazing new discovery with SOMEONE, anyone!" ?
Well I had one of those moments today.
Hence this blog post.
While looking around for new and unusual recipes I came across this site called Open Source Food.
It is great!
Everyone shares fantastic recipes that make me want to expand my cooking skills and really step outside my comfort zone.

Have you ever made Leek & Apple Soup?

Or Green Tea Tiramisu?

What about Chinese Chive Boxes?

Earl Grey Shortcake?

Of course there are a lot of other "normal" recipes on the site too.
I just love the variety and being able to read other food lovers reviews.

Sunday

This last week has tested my patience.
It has tested my ability to love.
The last few days have tested my temper.
These words calm me after a stormy week.

Time To Get Healthy

I know I put lots of deliciously unhealthy recipes on here.
But it's time for some still delicious recipes that are much better for us.
I recently stumbled upon a website which is amazing.
The food looks amazing.
It has all the nutritional values with each recipe. I love when websites do this as it takes out a lot of time consuming "put each ingredient into a generator to find results".
So here it is, the fabulous Teresa Cutter.

These are the top 6 recipes that caught my eye...

Baked Tuna Casserole

Spicy Red Tomato + Lentil Soup

Salmon Burgers

What I love the most is that she even has recipes for sweet things, but healthier versions.

Like this Lemon Yogurt Cake

Anzac Cookies

Chocolate Fudge Brownies

I can't wait to try them all!

Crochet the Cold Away

It's been a bit chilly the last few days.
Our unit is on the top floor.
Which means full sun all day.
Which means toasty warm inside.
Which also means the second you step out the door you freeze.
We have to remind ourselves that we need jumpers on.

Last Winter when it was cold I lit our fire, snuggled up in my thick woolies and crocheted to keep my hands warm.
If we had more space here I would be crocheting right now.
I found these patterns that I am trying to resist.

Gorgeous toddler leg warmers.

A cute dino hand puppet.

More dino love with this dino spike hat.

Another thing I have always wanted to try baking are melting moments.
These passionfruit ones look delicious!
